In Loving Memory of Advisor Suey Hong Yee - 余士晃

Suey was born in Kaiping, China in 1930. After arriving in Seattle in 1947, he graduated from Queen Anne HS.

Suey passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, and will be deeply missed for his dedication to family and friends, his generous spirit and his wry sense of humor.

Suey is survived by his wife of 68 years, Linda; his children, Steven (Melissa), Alan (Pam), Debora, and Alissa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kin On, Kline Galland, or Seattle Yee Fung Toy Association.

Seattle Chapter Spring Banquet Recap

After attending the Spring Banquet in Vancouver on Saturday, 2026-04-04, our Seattle Chapter of the Yee Fung Toy Association held its own Spring Banquet on Easter Sunday. This occasion marked my first significant event as the newly elected president of the chapter.

The banquet took place at Mai Place Asian Bistro, a newly established restaurant owned by a fellow Yee. To better accommodate our members, we adopted a linner format—a combined lunch and dinner—so attendees could enjoy the festivities without having to drive home after nightfall.

We were honoured to welcome Western Grand President Sherman Yu and Grand Elder Kenny Yee as special guests at the event.

Overall, the banquet was a great success. Looking ahead, I plan to continue refining my speeches and intend to avoid scheduling future banquets on Easter Sunday.

Warren Yee
