Seattle YFT House update - Tuesday March 1st, 2022:

The dry wall installed, first coat of interior paint done, doors are being installed today and in the next few days the flooring will be installed, followed by cabinets.

Everything is moving along, regardless of supply chain issues, labor shortages, and permit delays!

Seattle YFT House update - Friday March 11, 2022 - Seattle YFT house exterior, exterior doors and windows installed.

Final exterior color is under deliberation and will be painted after exterior work is completed, waiting for garage door for installation.

On Sunday, June 5, 2022, the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.) Seattle, in celebration of its 11th anniversary, held an in-person banquet, after cancelling the last two years due to the pandemic. Almost 130 attendees filled 13 tables at China Harbor Restaurant, representing Cathay Post #186, Chinese Information and Services Center (CISC), International Community Health Services (ICHS), Kin On, OCA Greater Seattle, Taipei Economic & Cultural Office, Wing Luke Museum, and many distinguished community members and friends.

This year, the Fred Yee Citizens Award honorees are: Ron Chew, community activist and author of "My Unforgotten Seattle", and Shawn Wong, UW Professor of English and author of multiple books, to honor them for their continued service to the Seattle community.

The Fred Yee Citizens Award was presented by Alex Yee & Andrea Yee, Fred Yee’s adult children. Also facilitating the evening event were Seattle YFT President Kevin Lee and Seattle YFT Auditor Warren Yee.

Seattle YFT House update - Friday, June 10th, 2022:
Finishing touches in process, pouring water permeable driveway and exterior landscaping and installation of refrigerator, and ranges it’s what’s remaining and of coarse receiving certificate of occupancy.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Seattle YFT House update - Friday, July 8th, 2022:
Interior completed. Minor touch ups this week, completing the exterior hardscape, driveways and sidewalks and retaining walls.

Pouring drive ways and side walks required water permeable cement per city building code requirement.

Thank you to President Man San, Elder Eddie, and advisor Sherman Yu and their spouses for the generous hospitality during my short visit to San Francisco, it was nice to visit headquarters and give you an update for our Seattle chapter.on Monday, August 15th.

On Tuesday, August 23rd, Seattle YFT President Kevin Lee welcomed Jimmy Yee Boston YFT member to the Pacific NorthWest and showing Jimmy all the good spots for dim sum, Asian markets & Chinese bakeries in Portland, Oregon. Jimmy is moving to Portland to work an Nike headquarters.

On Friday, August 26th, Seattle YFT President Kevin Lee and YFT auditor Warren Yee installed our brand new mailbox for YFT House rental units.

 

 

 

 

On Friday, September 23rd, Seattle YFT President Kevin Lee and YFT auditor Warren Yee installed Faux Wood Blinds in our new rental units. Hopefully we will have this unit rented by October 1, 2022:).

It's OFFICIAL!

On Tuesday, September 27th, Seattle YFT President Kevin Lee announced that the Seattle YFT has both units rented out, hopefully with long term tenants.

Thanks to the building Committee for all their hard work and the Seattle YFT Officers for all their assistance and support in this joint venture.

We look forward to showcasing our new building to all members soon!

 

On Friday, November 04th, Seattle YFT President Kevin Lee and Auditor Warren Yee installed custom window blinds for the two bedroom unit. Tenants are happy 😃 with added privacy.

It was special order so it took longer to arrive we installed it ourselves saving some cash for the association. :)
